New Event Mode

Setting up Event Mode is restricted to Universal Creative Legal & Contracting Team Members. Project Teams should work with their responsible Contracts and/or Legal Team Members to create, and obtain Event Mode.

Overview

Setting up a new Event within uniSIGN™, is fairly straight forward. To begin, we should understand how Event Mode works.

How Event Mode is Set-Up

Think of an Event as a three-ring binder, we like to think of it one of those sparkley TrapperKeepers with the unicorn on the front, anyhow...

The Event is the "binder" that keeps all Legal Documents inside. With the introduction of Event Mode, uniSIGN™ was upgraded to also include Waivers and Releases, as well as our standard Non-Disclosure Agreement(s).

There is no limit to the amount of documents kept within a "binder" Event in Event Mode, just keep in mind the more documents added increase the amount of time for Event Check-In with testers/guests.

Adult and Minor Releases

With Event Mode, Legal Waivers and Releases are now broken into two categories. These are critical to Event Mode functioning properly to testers/guests.

  1. Is NDA? - For Event Mode, Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA's) are giving priority in signing order so that if a tester/guest "fails" enrollment in the Release/Waiver, the NDA will still be captured first — and Confidentiality Standards maintained. Basically, with Is NDA? checked, the NDA will appear first, be prioritized/remain required prior to the tester/guest seeing the Waiver/Release(s).

  2. Involves Minors - For Event Mode, testers/guests will see a new screen during Event Mode Enrollment asking "How Many Minors" are with the Adult signing the Event Mode documents. uniSIGN™ Event Mode has logic built in that the number of minors in the tester/guest party are "looped" back so that everyone is legally covered by NDA, Waiver, or Release.

For example, if one Adult has two Minors with them in Event Mode, the Adult will sign the NDA on behalf of the minors (completed first, see #1 above), then any applicable Legal Documents, Waivers, or Releases attached to the Event Mode will cycle through the two minors (equaling 1 NDA for Adult + 2 Minors, 1 Waiver/Release for Adult, and 1 Waiver/Release for Minor #1, and 1 Waiver/Release for Minor #2).
